A new bench for the community (and for tourists too)

Local legend Dino - in the same class as Bono, Sting, etc - no need for a last name, has put together a sweet driftwood bench at the water's edge:

Parts of Highway 1 Closed for Repair

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, a 3-mile section of Highway 1 starting just west of Slide Ranch out to Stinson Beach will be closed starting Monday.

Another stretch of the highway will be closed in early January, from where it intersects with the Panoramic Highway above Mill Valley to near Green Gulch Ranch and the Zen center near Muir Beach, Haus said. All the work is expected to be done by mid- to late March.

Motorists will be able to use the Panoramic Highway to get to Stinson Beach and Muir Woods Road to reach Muir Beach.
